EvoMG will provide DCs with state-of-the-art network-wide training activities

First Summer School

The first Summer School, hosted by the CRG in Barcelona, introduces DCs to the foundations of evolutionary medicine. Participants receive practical training in evolutionary theory, genomics, and model systems used in ageing, cancer, and infectious diseases. Complementary sessions cover open science, FAIR data principles, and research integrity, while supporting the development of personal career plans to build responsible and strategic scientific careers.

Final EvoMG Symposium

The Final EvoMG Symposium is an international scientific meeting fully organized by the DCs of the EvoMG-DN network. The event will showcase the research achievements of all DCs, complemented by invited talks and discussions on key topics in evolutionary medicine. Beyond presenting their work, DCs gain hands-on experience in event organization, leadership, and collaboration, as they take responsibility for all aspects of the symposium, from programme design and speaker invitations to fundraising, communication, and logistics. This final event serves both as a scientific highlight and as a training opportunity, strengthening the professional development and visibility of EvoMG researchers.
