The Institute of Cancer Research (​ICR) is one of the world’s most influential cancer research institutes with an outstanding record of achievement dating back more than 100 years. We are world leaders in identifying cancer genes, discovering cancer drugs and developing precision radiotherapy. Together with our hospital partner The Royal Marsden, we are rated in the top four centres for cancer research and treatment worldwide.​The Centre for Evolution and Cancer (CEC) is a multidisciplinary centre dedicated to understanding cancer evolution and leveraging this knowledge for translational benefit. Our research interests span from early cancer detection to the treatment of metastatic disease. The CEC brings together expertise in evolutionary theory, computational biology, and bioinformatics, alongside cutting-edge capabilities in cell and molecular biology. This creates a stimulating and creative interdisciplinary environment where innovative approaches to tackling cancer can thrive.​
