About Trevor

Prof Trevor Graham FMedSci is Director of the Centre for Evolution and Cancer at the Institute of Cancer Research in London. Our lab is highly interdisciplinary, combining innovation mathematical and computational methods with cutting- edge molecular genomics including single cell and spatial technologies to study cancer evolution.

Research

We want to understand how cancers evolve: from normal healthy cells through to metastatic and treatment resistant cancer. We translate this understanding to enable early detection and improve prognostication and treatment. We focus on bowel cancers but have broad interests about all things to do with cancer evolution. We use molecular genomics combined with mathematical and computational approaches. We often invent new methods in the wet-lab or the dry-lab that help us unpick how cancers have evolved. The lab is lively, very interdisciplinary in its approaches, and spans basic to applied clinical research.
